Providing Clean Water to 10,000 Families in Kenya with Our Water Wells Project

Today, we want to share with you a story of success that not only impacts the lives of thousands in Kenya but also touches our hearts deeply. Water is a vital need for all of us, but unfortunately, it is still a luxury in many parts of the world. For the families living in the villages around Mombasa, Kenya, access to clean drinking water has been a significant challenge. That’s why we embarked on this journey to bring a life-changing opportunity to thousands of people.

As Hands For All, we partnered with the local organization Holistic Educational Trust to launch our water wells project. In March, we took a bold step towards addressing the issue of clean drinking water and set out with the goal of providing access to at least 10,000 families. Local organizations assessed the scarcity of water resources in these villages, and based on their findings, we decided to act.

In the village of Malindi, near Mombasa, we spent time with the locals, observing the construction of the wells and witnessing their daily lives firsthand. To ensure every step of the project was carefully monitored, we sent two of our staff members to Kenya. They spent a week with the villagers, not just overseeing the project, but also experiencing the harsh conditions themselves. Like the villagers, they had to carry water in buckets, learning how precious and scarce this resource is. This experience further strengthened our commitment to the project.

Describing the joy and excitement we witnessed during the well openings in Malindi is no easy task. Smiles were everywhere as clean water flowed for the first time. Children were laughing and splashing as they washed their hands and faces, while women joyfully danced with water buckets in hand. For us, this wasn’t just a project. It was a step toward a healthier, safer, and more hopeful future for thousands of people.

With the completion of these water wells, clean drinking water has become a reality for thousands of families. Witnessing the significant difference we made in their lives has reinforced our belief in this project. And this achievement is not ours alone—it’s thanks to the generous support of our donors and supporters. Right now, in Kenya, the wells we’ve built are helping hundreds of villages thrive once again. Families with access to clean water are now stepping into a healthier, safer, and more hopeful future. We will continue our efforts to bring water to every village in need with the same determination.
